We are the United States Métis Nation. Our ancestors were the original inhabitants of this great land. We also have ancestors that came from across the ocean. We have Native American blood flowing through our veins, yet the tribe's of our heritage reject us because of this mixture. We are have descended from many great peoples. Having been disenfranchised and marginalized by both ancestral cultures, we now unite to claim our Aboriginal rights. We are a 'Non-Federally Recognized' Indian tribe incorporated as a 'not-for-profit' organization to preserve our culture, our rights, and provide services to our members. We are the United States Métis Nation.
What We Do
Our purpose is to:
*Assert our Aboriginal rights as Native Americans.
*Register eligible members.
*Promote the Metis culture.
*Public awareness eduction.
*Provide services to eligible members.
*Pursue federal recognition.
*Research, document, and archive Metis heritage.
*Strive to unify all US Métis.
